In our homes, we are living in a world of our own making. The things that I mention here are just my humble attempt to make a few things clear.
Asheville is pricey to live in, and we all know that it is, but one of the things that makes it expensive is the quality of the housing. This is an area known for having good-value properties for sale. But we don’t all own homes like the high-end mansions we see in the movies, so the fact that these homes are generally so expensive is not necessarily the fault of the housing.
In many cases, you have to purchase a home to live in, or you can put your own house on the market, but if you are forced to buy a home to live in, you are usually not going to live like the rich people in the movies (who are forced to live in the expensive mansions).
I believe that the housing market is more like the movie version of the stock market. You can buy a house for $200k, but you are still going to pay $600 a month in rent, plus utilities, and probably still have to pay taxes on the mortgage.
The median home price in N.C. is somewhere around $200,000. The median home price in Asheville is $200,000. The median home price in the Asheville NC area is around $100,000, which is about $30,000 less than the median home price.
That’s because the cost of living is higher in Asheville than in N.C. The average cost of a home in Asheville is about 400 per square foot. The average cost of a home in N.C. is about 350 per square foot.
We don’t really know the answer here, but it does seem like a fairly expensive place to live. The cost of living in Asheville is about 50% higher than the cost in N.C.
The higher cost of living in Asheville may be one of the reasons that the median home price there is so much lower than it is in N.C. I think its a case of Asheville having more jobs which have a lower real wage. Asheville also has more apartments and condos, which may be another reason that the median home price is lower there. The higher cost of living in Asheville may also be due to a higher percentage of single-family homes in Asheville, while N.C.
The city’s median home price is $155,400. That’s more than double the median home price in N.C. The median home price in is about $145,500. The median home price in N.C. is about $98,500. But Asheville’s median home price is $101,800, which is just about half of the median home price in N.C.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions about whether or not is asheville nc expensive to live. While that’s definitely true for some people, the median home price in Asheville is about half of the median home price in N.C. I’d say that’s a very small percentage of people who are in a position to be making decisions about the cost of living.
